NEW at Hopewell Fish and Game Association! Foraging Classes with Dave Vanarsdale!
FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
The classes will involve a short hike through the safe areas of the club grounds, locating and then talking about how to identify and verify many types of edible, medicinal, and or poisonous plant, tree, and fungal species. Seasonal availability, habitat, preparation, conservation, and specific uses will also be discussed.
The below dates have been chosen due to specific blooming or plant availability timeframes.
Attendees are advised to do their own research before ingesting any new wild edible as some people are sensitive to certain foods where others are not. Attendees who choose to taste, touch, or ingest in any form any wild edible, will be doing so at their own risk. This class/hike is for informational purposes only.
